As one of the leading voices for change, and a Black, female-led organisation, we can help you take action and inspire and engage your local audiences, visitors and service users. Our innovative talks and exhibition-events have been exploring and celebrating the Black experience for over 7 years and we can help you do the same – with our ’70 Objeks and Tings’ exhibition and associated coffee table book.
We are currently working with local library services around the UK, to make sure every library has a copy of our book ‘70 Objeks and Tings: Celebrating 70 Years of Caribbeans in the UK’. Designed to be fun, accessible, and engaging, our book tells the story of the Windrush Generation through the objects and things many Caribbeans hold dear.
As well as being an invaluable all-year-round addition to your library collection, the book is also a great resource for individuals, schools and community groups; and a great way to celebrate events such as International Women’s Day, Windrush Day and Black History Month.
When you purchase copies of our book, we would be more than happy to have an informal chat about how we can help you make 2022 a year when ‘objeks and tings’ tell stories and spark conversations; not only on printed pages designed to take readers on a journey, but through the shared interest and memories evoked by exploring real, tangible, tactile ‘objeks and tings’ together. We can support you, and your local community, to bring the pages of our book to life – through in-library and online talks, tabletop displays, bespoke exhibition-events, and more.
